A hazy gaze from a missing eye.

 Joshua was no ordinary man, but he had an ordinary life. A war veteran with a bad eye, that was the most people would think of him. He had a teenage daughter Quincy, and a wife named Yvanne. Joshua was quite a frequent reader, when he heard a strange noise and a crash from his daughter's bedroom. He made a dash for his beloved child's bedroom. He wasnt good at seeing things, but it was clear there was a broken window lying by her bed, the window had been locked ever since they got the house. Her bedroom was on the 2nd floor. He sprinted outside, kicking down doors and looking frantically for his daughter. He found her, a few houses away, limping toward the forest. He tried to stop her, but she looked to be in a dazed state, her eyes had lost all colour. Her irises had become gray. It was then he realized, his daughter no longer belonged to him. A low drone rang out, hitting his ears like a 10 ton truck. He felt himself slowly being encased inside his body as all life faded fro...
